It is also one of the most painful and difficult diseases to have, and we at Makati Medical Center fully realize this.
This is why we may not have been the first Cancer Center in the country—but we are confident to claim that we are the one best able to provide exceptional cancer care.
We are not just a Cancer Center in words, but in reality: Long before we established our center, we painstakingly organized our specialists and built a culture that went beyond practicing pigeonhole medicine toward embracing the multidisciplinary care and collaboration which are the most effective approaches to a disease like cancer.

Our practice of telemedicine with the Stanford Medical Center—known worldwide for its groundbreaking work in cancer— allows us to bring the latest treatments and advanced knowledge to our cancer patients.
Today, Stanford is engaged in more than 250 clinical trials, investigating a broad spectrum of new diagnostic, prevention and treatment strategies for cancer. Many of their researchers and physicians are nationally and internationally known for their dedicated work to seek the most effective cures and treatments for cancer. And, by collaborating with them, we at Makati Med are able to translate their groundbreaking research and bring it to your bedside as advanced and extraordinary patient care.
Multidisciplinary, Streamlined Care
At our Cancer Center, we use a multidisplinary approach to tackle the most complex and difficult cancer cases.
At the same time, we offer streamlined care, bringing together into one facility, all the medical and clinical services, amenities and resources that are needed for the treatment of cancer.
This grants you, our patients, more convenience and gives our specialists greater opportunities to work together to coordinate and provide optimal patient care.
Long before we opened the center, we began the practice of holding cancer boards on various cancers, allowing us to develop customized treatment plans for patients and find ways to improve prognoses.

Our clinical and medical facilities are located close to each other and in ways that make navigating treatment simple and convenient. This minimizes the discomfort and disorientation that come with having to cope with a life-threatening disease.

We choose the nurses and medical technicians who will staff the Cancer Center--and they are chosen not only for their expertise, but also for their caring and compassionate care skills.
We provide you with the information you need—and deserve—to cope with cancer and help you find the tools you need to live your life to the fullest.
At our center, you will also have the chance to connect with our growing community of cancer survivors and their caregivers. You will be able to learn from their experiences— you may also contribute your own opinions and stories to help the scientific community, at Makati Med and elsewhere, find a cure for cancer.
Our growing center also houses a separate Breast Clinic, an Oncology Unit and a Bone Marrow Unit
