Makati Medical Center's Corporate Health and Wellness packages are intended for employees and include pre-employment examinations for local and overseas companies.
Our center is accredited by the Department of Health (DOH), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA), and the Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA). Foreign governments and international organizations trust the quality and accuracy of our tests, so they often come to us to screen the human resources deployed in their countries.

Pre-employment screening
This is essentially composed of a questionnaire and a medical examination. The questionnaire covers:
- Medical history
- Social history
- Family history
- Employment history
- This questionnaire is reviewed by our Occupational Health Physicians to give a fitness rating and indicate possible health problems.
The examination includes:
- Interview with Occupational Health Physicians and capturing baseline medical information, such as weight and height, analysis of urine, blood pressure, eyesight test, lifestyle advice
Other additional tests might include:
- Vitalograph (lung function test)
- Audiogram (hearing test)
- ECG, blood analysis
Risk Assessments
In this procedure, one of our Occupational Health Physicians will visit your company premises to identify possible health hazards and advise you on how to mitigate these.
Company Doctor or Health Personnel
If your company is a large organization with hundreds of employees, Makati Med can also provide you with a Medical Adviser on site —either a physician or a nurse depending on your requirements and budget, whose job would be to ensure the health of your employees.
The doctor could provide the following services:
- Health Policies
- Sickness absence policies and ways to mitigate their effects on productivity
- Ill-health retirement / disability issues
- Occupational health issues in the workplace
- Liaison between HR and line managers in the workplace.
- Exit assessments
- Well person screening

Health Surveillance
Corporate Health may also undertake a wide variety of assessment techniques to detect as early as possible any health effects that can be caused by occupational exposure to physical and chemical agents in the workplace.
With regular health surveillance, you can allow your people to be removed from further exposure before any effect becomes harmful or permanent—thereby saving their lives and avoiding legal hassles.
Health Advise
If you are a large corporation trying to cope with the sheer volume of health and safety legislation, you can do this without employing a separate person for that function. Instead, you can simply let our office undertake this important function for you. The benefits of this are that you could:
