Makati Medical Center's Dermatology department provides specialized care for adult and pediatric patients with all skin types, hair and nail problems. Our Department is composed of highly qualified board-certified specialists who are trained in:

The Department offers a three-year residency program, having the distinction of being one of the only 10 institutions accredited by the Philippine Dermatological Society (PDS). The PDS is the only medical society for Dermatology recognized by the Philippine Medical Association (PMA).

KOH mount for diagnosis of fungal infection.
Tzanck smear for diagnosis of Herpes Virus infection.
Skin biopsy for histopathologic diagnosis of inflammatory and neoplastic skin diseases.
Patch testing to determine the causes of allergic contact dermatitis.
Wood's lamp for visualization of pigmentary diseases
Visia digital skin analyzer for diagnosis of visible and concealed problems of the skin
Diagnostic Photomedicine (Minimal Erythema Dose determination & Photopatch test)

Infrared-Radiofrequency-Vacuum technology for body contouring and cellulite
Visia Scan is a scientific digial analyzer of the skin with corresponding photo
Unipolar and Bipolar Radiofrequency for cellulite reduction, body contouring and skin laxity
Intense pulsed light with three interchangeable handpiece with different wavelengths:
The 560nm wavelength used for epidermal pigmentation such as age spots, freckles and melasma
590 nm wavelength for the deeper dermal pigmentations
640 head for the spider veins and birthmarks
Multi-Application, Multi Technology Platform with a wide spectrum of wavelength for different applications and indications:
532nm Q-Switched Nd YAG for superficial pigmentation (freckles, sun spots and age spots) and removal of red tattoos
1064nm Q-Switched Nd YAG for deeper pigmentation and tattoo removal
Long pulse ND:YAG 1064nm for vascular lesions, leg veins and skin rejuvenation (deeper wrinkles)
ST 780nm for skin tightening, scars and stretch marks
Pixel 2940 Erbium YAG for resurfacing, fine lines, wrinkles and acne scars
