Laboratories
The Department of Pathology and Laboratories provides excellent diagnostic services to Makati Medical Center’s physicians and their patients through advanced laboratory examination and evaluation.
At our laboratories, you are always assured of the highest quality services since we are equipped with fully automated equipment and staffed by dedicated pathologists and technologists. We can deliver accurate and reliable diagnoses that contribute significantly to your effective treatment and care. We operate 24/7, servicing more than 500 patients daily.
Our staffs have undergone extensive training both here and abroad, and are careful to keep abreast of the latest technologies. We also regularly upgrade our equipment.
Makati Medical Center was the first to enroll in the College of American Pathology (CAP) Survey. At our Department, an Internal Quality Control Program strictly guides us. We participate in the Asian Quality Assurance Scheme (AQUAS), the External Quality Assurance Scheme (EQUAS), as well as the quality assurance program of the Philippine Council for Quality Assurance in Clinical Laboratories (PCQACL).
Our range of diagnostic services covers both clinical pathology, helping diagnose disease by analyzing body fluids and anatomic pathology that analyzes organs, tissues and cells.
Together with the Dermatology Department, we also offer procedures to diagnose skin abnormalities.
