Obstetrics and Gynecology
At the Makati Medical Center we welcome babies with exceptional care. We provide the highest standards of quality care for both mothers and babies. We are committed to providing the safest and most comfortable delivery experience possible.
The OB-Gyn Operating Room – Delivery Room (OR-DR Complex) is housed in the Constantino P. Manahan (CPM) Pavillion located on the 5th floor of the Tower 2 (New Building). It consists of:
- Five (5) state-of-the-art operating room-delivery rooms
- Three (3) birthing suites
- Two (2) high risk rooms
- Two (2) labor rooms
- A triage room where patients are initially examined before assigning them to the different rooms.
- A recovery room
- An orbiter to facilitate transfer of patients.
Our facilities are fully equipped to provide the appropriate response to whatever healthcare demands mothers, babies or gynecologic patients may require. All delivery rooms are equipped with state-of–the-art Hill-Room affinity birthing beds that accommodate any birthing positions the laboring mother chooses. The birthing suites’ labor and delivery rooms are provided with the latest doppler and fetal monitor equipment which allow our specialists to closely monitor the progress of labor and well being of the babies.
To meet a growing demand for quality but less expensive care, Makati Med launched a Maternity Package Program which includes:
- Spontaneous Vaginal Delivery with or without tubal ligation
- Caesarean Section
- Hysterectomy
- Adnexal surgery
- Dilation and Curettage
The C.P. Manahan Complex houses an Ultrasound Unit which is fully equipped and offers the following services:
- 3D / 4D ultrasound
- Color doppler studies
- Fetal biometry
- Congenital Anomaly Scan
- Intrauterine Saline infusion
- Biophysical profile
- Gynecological ultrasound (pelvic, trans-vaginal, trans-rectal)
MakatiMed Department of Ob-Gyne, also offers several programs for the maternity patients:
- Bonding programs for the mothers and babies. (Provide tips on breast feeding , proper baby care and handling of babies.
- Rooming-in programs that encourage mothers to keep their babies with them throughout their stay, on certain hours only, depending on their own preferences and on the health of both mother and baby.
- A 19-week care program for babies.
- Continuous wellness programs for babies.
- Special programs for high-risk and diabetic mothers; and premature babies.
